What’s a Dental Assistant and what do they do? A Dental assistant is a person who works in a dental setting assisting dentists during procedures. A few duties include: scheduling appointments, sterilizing equipment, helping with impressions and assisting with procedures are some things that they do. Dental assistants work in a fast paced environment. Meeting new people and seeing new faces is a daily part of the job. It is important dental assistants possess the skill of attention to detail. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, job growth for dental assistants is growing faster than average with 8% expected job growth over the next 10 years.*

Our program allows individuals to study on their own time. This program is self paced. It is a great opportunity for working individuals. *We recommend spending 12 hours per week on program*

Certification
This programs offers: National Entry Level Dental Assistant (NELDA) component exams from the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB). Our Dental Assistant Program will also help you prepare for the Registered Dental Assistant (RDA). (We DO NOT CURRENTLY OFFER RDA exam)

Externship
With our dental assistant program, we offer an externship to our students. Get hands on experience in your dream career field. Externships will be held with a local employer. Externships are subject to change at any time. You will be notified ahead of time of any changes.
